Like an oversized gate, the twin towers Tour A and Tour B stand facing each other at the beginning of Avenue John F. Kennedy in Kirchberg, Luxembourg. With the successful completion of the expansion of five office floors in Tour B, the Lindner Luxembourg S.à.r.l. once again demonstrates its expertise and performance capability.
Tour B, an imposing 18-storey tower, is located in the immediate vicinity of the European Court of Justice. The redesign of the building posed a particular challenge, as the expansion work had to be carried out while the rest of the building remained in operation.
Acoustic Fit-out for Efficient Working Environments in Tour B
As part of a comprehensive redesign, the Lindner Luxembourg S.à.r.l. was involved in the expansion of five office floors. Surrounding the central building core are now individual and group offices as well as various meeting rooms. Spatial separation in the office areas was achieved using Lindner system partitions: Lindner Life Freeze 137 glass elements with privacy film ensure natural light in the corridors, while Lindner Logic 100 Timber system partition walls in Scandinavian beech and matching doors offer a warm contrast.
The acoustic requirements were met by installing micro-perforated Lindner Logic 100 Timber-Acoustic panels with sound-absorbing properties, which were integrated into the meeting rooms. Additionally, seating niches were created along the corridor walls, which are not only aesthetically pleasing but also enable meetings and short breaks.
By early 2023, phase 3 of the project, the expansion of floors 9 and 10 in Tour B, was also successfully completed. Once again, Lindner’s proven system partition walls and acoustic solutions were used.
Outstanding Performance Leads to Follow-Up Order
Despite tight deadlines and logistical challenges, the project was completed on time and to the fullest satisfaction of the clients. This outstanding performance has brought the Lindner Luxembourg S.à.r.l. another contract: the renovation of the twin tower Tour A.
Lindner was responsible for the design of the walls with Lindner Logic 100 Timber and the installation of the high-quality raised floor systems NORTEC as well as hollow floors FLOOR and more®. Unlike Tour B, which was expanded in several phases, Tour A was tendered and refurbished without a phased approach. Thanks to this structured approach, the refurbishment of Tour A was completed by the end of 2023. Phase 4 of Tour B is currently in the tendering phase.
