The Mechatronic Engineer specializing in Drive Systems and Control for Window and
Door Systems with a focus on KNX (Konnex) technology is responsible for the design, development, integration, and optimization of automated drive systems within various applications. This role encompasses the use of KNX as standard protocol for building automation and control, allowing for energy-efficient and
intelligent control of electromechanical systems. He is responsible for the designing of various door hardware systems, including locks, hinges, door closers, panic devices, and access control systems. The mechanic ensures that all door hardware operates efficiently and safely, providing secure access and enhancing building security The engineer will work closely with cross-disciplinary teams to enhance automation performance, improve system reliability, and facilitate user-friendly operation. Considering all HS&E aspects by developing the façade system to avoid any human damage in following process such as production and installation.
Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Specialty in facade engineering is advantageous
International work experience in facade industry
Recognition through prior learning through industry experience
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess complex structural scenarios and propose effective solutions
Strong background on façade, window and door technology is required
Ability to clearly communicate requirements, expectations & instructions
Knowledge of profile system supplier, such as WICONA, SCHUECO, RAICO etc.
Business Presentation Level English is necessary
Well versed with 2-D and 3-D design software including but not limited to AutoCAD, Advance Steel, Athena
Well versed with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Power Point
Minimum 2 years solid experience in windows and door design
Relevant experience in facade engineering or structural design, particularly in building envelope systems, is preferred
Experience in operable element, such as windows and doors, hardware selection, design and engineering, assembling and installation method

Analyze the technical specifications, contract and the project “scope of work” and ensure that the design team understands them
Assist in project planning and scheduling to meet critical deadlines
Design and develop drive systems for automation applications, including motors, actuators, and controllers, with a focus on efficiency, reliability, and scalability
Design door hardware systems, including locks, hinges, door closers, panic devices, and access control systems
Implement KNX-based control solutions for intelligent building automation, integrating existing systems with new technological advancements
Design and develop the wiring layout plan and installation method
Integrate drive systems with KNX network topologies, ensuring seamless communication between electronic components, sensors, and central control systems
Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and IT specialists to support system architecture design and ensure compatibility with existing infrastructures
Customize control and monitoring solutions for specific applications, including energy management and automated responses to environmental conditions
Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including system specifications, user manuals, and maintenance guides for installed solutions
