From 21st to 22nd of November 2024, the Lindner Group and Siemensstadt Square will showcase at the Heinze Climate Festival how a city of the future is being created through cooperative construction processes and circular building products, with two exciting presentations. Further information can also be found at the Lindner stand D.25 in the "Materials & Innovation" area.

Multi-Party Agreement for Maximum Sustainability

Siemensstadt Square in Berlin is one of the largest urban development projects in the capital and serves as an excellent example of forward-thinking construction. Here, Siemens and Lindner are collaborating to conserve resources and minimise CO2 emissions. The foundation of their partnership is a multi-party agreement: The IPA project demonstrates how environmentally friendly construction can be achieved through innovative approaches and close cooperation. This unique contractual model brings together various construction partners at the planning table from the outset, laying the groundwork for effective and timely project implementation.

Lindner's Contribution to Siemensstadt Square

As part of the Siemensstadt Square project, Lindner is responsible for the interior fit-out and façades of two new buildings – an atrium building with approximately 15,000 m² and a high-rise building with around 27,000 m² of gross floor area. In addition, a publicly accessible information pavilion and generous outdoor facilities are planned. To meet Siemens' high targets for CO2 savings, Lindner has introduced an innovative approach into the planning: The use of reclaimed, refurbished raised floor panels. These panels are carefully dismantled from a current deconstruction project, temporarily stored or refurbished, and then reused in a new building project. By using refurbished raised floor panels made of calcium sulphate, for example, over 70% of CO2 emissions could be saved compared to the new production of such panels.
