Application Areas for Glass Fibre Concrete

New Horizons in Construction Design

Glass fibre reinforced concrete opens up a wide range of creative and innovative applications in the construction industry. From architectural elements to structural components, glass fibre reinforced concrete offers a robust and versatile solution for a broad spectrum of construction projects.

Facade Construction

With LinCrete glass fibre reinforced concrete, facade elements can be customised to your exact specifications. We make it our mission to find the best solution even for complex 3D geometries. Our glass fibre reinforced concrete facades stand out due to their lighter weight and thin-walled design, which allows for minimal construction depth and is particularly beneficial for ventilated facades. Thanks to the versatile shaping and surface design options, LinCrete glass fibre reinforced concrete is ideal for both new buildings and renovation projects. Additionally, glass fibre reinforced concrete excels in areas such as fire protection, thermal and sound insulation, durability, and sustainability.

  • Facade elements (e.g., pilaster strips, parapet or corner elements)
  • Window sills
  • Recesses
  • Parapets
  • Building plinths, etc.

Interior Fit-out & Design

Glass fibre reinforced concrete is increasingly being used in interior applications as well. For this purpose, we have developed our LinCrete Light glass fibre reinforced concrete. Through the unique composition of the concrete matrix combined with specially tailored glass fibres, the thickness of the elements has been reduced to as little as 6 mm. This opens up new design possibilities and further facilitates the handling of the already lightweight components. For weight-bearing interior fittings, our standard LinCrete glass fibre reinforced concrete can be used.

  • Exposed concrete architecture
  • Furniture and staircases
  • Wall cladding
  • Countertops, buffet elements
  • Cladding for planters
  • Acoustic elements for concert halls or theatres
  • Kitchen blocks, worktops, and sinks, etc

Tunnel

In tunnel and underground railway construction, LinCrete glass fibre reinforced concrete is a reliable solution. Tunnels must withstand extreme pressures such as mountain pressure, water and chemical attacks, as well as fire resistance. LinCrete offers high strength and durability with its special properties, ensuring the permanent stabilisation of tunnel walls.

The material enables more efficient and safer construction, even with high demands for vandalism and explosion resistance. Fixing and securing systems are customised to ensure maximum safety.

Outdoor Design

Due to its high weather and UV resistance, LinCrete also provides the perfect foundation for a variety of outdoor products. The composite material, with its exceptional versatility in terms of surface texture and flexible shaping, allows for making a big impact even with smaller items. Plant troughs and decorative elements made from LinCrete are perfect examples of how there are virtually no limits to the creativity and aesthetics of our customers.

  • Tables, benches, decorative items
  • Slides
  • Privacy screens
  • Fountains
  • Stairs, seating steps
  • Climbing structures
  • Plant troughs, flower beds, planting beds, shore protection elements
