The Lindner ECO_N® is the first hybrid facade in our range of unitised facades and, thanks to the combination of timber modules and aluminum, fuses economy with sustainability. By using wood, we not only create a visual link to nature: The CO2-neutral wood also has a very positive effect on the ecological balance of the facade. With ECO_N, we also rely on single source materials with the highest recyclability and continue the proven basic design of our hybrid facades: The facade system impresses with clear sealing and functional levels, patented PA pressure strip and special fire protection properties. The system can also be installed quickly and on-time on the construction site thanks to the use of prefabricated, high-quality facade elements.
The CO2-neutral wood has an extremely positive influence on the ecological balance of the facade: As a statically effective component, the wood module in the ECO_N contributes to a CO2 reduction of 20 to 30 %, depending on the type of construction. The economic aspect of using wood in the ECO_N unitized facade is explained by its design: The different properties of wood and aluminium profiles have been carefully matched. This ensures long-term value retention – and the longevity makes the facade particularly sustainable.
The use of modular facade elements allows for flexible design and adaptation to different requirements, while also enabling separation and recycling in line with the Cradle-to-Cradle principle. According to Cradle-to-Cradle, materials should be reusable without loss of quality, thus remaining within the circular economy. The selection and origin of raw materials play a crucial role here: the hybrid facade employs pure materials with the highest recycling potential. Lindner emphasizes transparency in terms of environmental impact assessments and integrated environmental management. For this reason, all Lindner facades are evaluated and certified according to LEED, DNGB, and BREEAM standards specific to each project.
Wood creates a warm atmosphere in the room – the wood cladding creates a direct link to nature and thus significantly enhances the feeling of living. The modular combination of colored sections of the aluminium profiles with the wood modules, as is possible with ECO_N 80, creates an exclusive, modern look. There is a wide range of wood types to choose from, which can of course be varied from room to room. The external appearance of the facade can also be customised.
The hybrid facade consistently continues the advantages of the proven Lindner ECO® aluminum base construction with its clear sealing and functional levels: The patented PA pressure strip meets the highest thermal insulation requirements. The aluminum profiles exposed to moisture are clearly separated from the dry area of the timber modules and only non-combustible materials are used in the ceiling termination area. The timber module can be statically compensated – a clear advantage in terms of preventive fire protection.
