The ČSBO is a universal bank in the Czech and Slovakian financial market and market leader in the areas of mortgages, building society savings and private banking. Founded in 1964, the bank now serves 3.2 million customers in almost 290 branches in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. As a flagship of the new Czech architecture, ČSOB's low-energy headquarters were realised in 2007 to set new standards for sustainable construction in the Czech Republic.
Today, the building, with its generous green spaces on the roof, resembles a primeval forest. To continue this sustainability factor inside the building, 530 m2 of Lindner Plafotherm® E200 Type 2 heated and chilled ceilings were subsequently installed in the headquarters. Awarded the Cradle to Cradle Certified® certificate, the flexible heated/chilled ceiling system not only offers design freedom, but also makes a significant contribution to the energy-efficient use of the building. Heating and cooling via radiation creates a pleasant indoor climate in the rooms in an economical way.
The ČSOB headquarter therefore serves as an example of the successful symbiosis of sustainable architecture and nature.
