The pharmaceutical company Daiichi Sankyo, headquartered in Japan with its European headquarters in Munich, is expanding its production site in Pfaffenhofen. This site is one of the company’s largest worldwide for the manufacturing of clinical products. The expansion of the F4 production building created additional capacity for the production of liquid active ingredients, particularly for innovative cancer treatments. State-of-the-art process and analytical technologies ensure the highest quality standards in pharmaceutical production. As part of this expansion, a new cleanroom has been installed, meeting the strictest requirements for air purity, temperature, and humidity control.
The Lindner Group was responsible for the interior construction of this cutting-edge cleanroom, implementing specialised solutions for maximum hygiene and functionality. The scope of work included steel sheet doors, fully glazed doors, and various wall constructions, such as plasterboard walls and the double-shell pharmaceutical walls Multiclean PPH. Large-scale glazing provides transparency and an open spatial effect, while Swing MPH hinged doors ensure convenient access.
A key feature is the walkable cleanroom ceiling, Line 80S Type 2, which –thanks to its modular design – allows for quick assembly and the flexible replacement of individual ceiling elements. At the same time, its robust construction ensures safe maintenance access to the installations above, facilitating upkeep and supporting seamless cleanroom operations. Integrated lighting further enhances optimal working conditions within the cleanroom environment.
