Film University "Konrad Wolf"

The Film University Babelsberg Konrad Wolf is one of the most renowned institutions for film and media in Europe. Founded in 1954, it has evolved from a prestigious film school into Germany’s largest film university with an international reputation.
To provide the perfect setting for its high standards in knowledge, technology, and creativity, the main building underwent extensive refurbishment, including the renovation of its cinemas and control rooms.

As a full-service provider for interior fit-outs, the Lindner Group played a key role in the refurbishment and modernisation of the facilities, incorporating Lindner products. The installation of the LMD-St 700 BWS expanded metal ceiling not only offers diverse design possibilities but also creates an atmospheric ambience with integrated lighting. Additionally, a raised floor system - with conductive carpet covering - allows for a flexible infrastructure and discreet cable management, adapting seamlessly to users' needs.

The recording studios have been transformed into creative spaces with perforated wooden wall panels and fabric-covered wall cladding, creating a warm atmosphere with optimal acoustics. Expanded metal wall panels add architectural accents to the halls and studios, completing the overall aesthetic.

In addition to the successful implementation of these construction measures, Lindner also coordinated with numerous subcontractors – including bricklayers, painters, carpenters, and metalworkers as well as clearance of harmful substances and building cleaning.
