Inficon Cologne

INFICON is a leading provider of innovative measurement and sensor technology, specialising in enhancing productivity in high-quality vacuum processes. With a comprehensive portfolio of analysis, measurement and control products, INFICON plays a crucial role in gas leak detection in the refrigeration/air conditioning and automotive industries. INFICON's solutions are also essential for the production of semiconductors, solar cells, and for industrial vacuum coating processes. To further increase the efficiency and quality of manufacturing processes and to expand existing capacities, a new cleanroom for the Business Unit Leak Detection Tools has been established at the Cologne site. 

The Lindner Group brought its comprehensive expertise to the construction of an approximately 175 m² standalone cleanroom: As an independent unit within the existing building, the walls and ceilings were mounted on a specially produced steel substructure – without compromising structural integrity. An air conditioning system, through an innovative plenum, directs air from the ceiling area into the room. This ensures a continuous and uniform distribution of purified air, meeting the high hygiene standards of cleanrooms. Lindner also installed special cleanroom components, including cleanroom ceilings, LED cleanroom lights, and fan filter units with cooling units, which were tailored to the specific requirements of INFICON. The equipment was complemented by custom-made glazing, cleanroom doors, and airlock controls, ensuring an efficient and safe working environment. The successful implementation of the project was based on a close and friendly collaboration between INFICON and Lindner, which was established during an earlier project in Lichtenstein.
