The former site of the champagne cellarage Mercier close to the train station of Luxembourg now houses a new service and administration center of Luxembourg´s Post. From the customer´s point of view, an environment with considerably more modern conditions has been built for the three large service areas post, fincances and telecommunications. The Post´s museum is also integrated in this environment. Apart from the public areas, the building also features large office floors for the staff of the postal service, which are illuminated in natural light through a central atrium.
Lindner Luxembourg S.a.r.l. contributed to the fit-out of the Mercier building through large-scale installation of various Lindner Partition Systems. The system Lindner Life Stereo 125 was the largest quantity, which was combined with wooden partitions of type Lindner Logic 100. Both of these systems have been executed with elevated fire protection (EI 60) in some areas. The partitions have also been fitted with various doors, including tube frame doors, sliding doors as well as wooden doors with and without fire protection. For optimal acoustics, the partitions have also been fitted with wood-based absorber elements. Furthermore, Lindner supplied hollow and raised floor systems with fibre-reinforced calcium sulphate of type Lindner NORTEC as well as FLOOR and more® hydro for areas with elevated levels of moisture.
