Situated in the City of Frankfurt, near the Old Opera, the office and business building Neue Mainzer Straße 84 enjoys an excellent location. The six-storey building was constructed in 1957 and modernized in 2014/15. This redevelopment brought luxurious retail areas to the ground floor and modern office areas to the overlaying floors. The total area of the building approaches 3.000 sqm. The facade has also been redeveloped with discreet natural stone that blends in perfectly into its surroundings.
Lindner Fassaden GmbH was contracted with the construction of the facade cladding of Neue Mainzer Straße 84. The carrying structure is mounted-on and bend-resistant steel construction, which was fitted to the existing building as a part of the revitalisation. One side of the building is polygonal. A beige limestone was chosen for the curtain wall natural stone facade. Natural light is brought to the interior through a large number of windows, which are also hook-on constructions. They consist of a fixed glazing with underlying decentral heat exchangers and suctions of the ventilation unit. The fixed glazings are sided by filigree ventilated glass cores that are framed with stainless steel, which lay in front of the sash. The ground floor and first floor are characterised by an integrated steel frame construction with visible steel profiles. On the top floor, mammoth glass panes have been fitted to the facade, allowing a panorama-like view over Frankfurt. The entrance area, however, features rounded glass panes as a further style element, whose entirety contributes to the building´s seamless integration into the architectural landscape of Frankfurt´s inner city.
