In December 2021, the construction of the new building complex was completed within the existing zoning and cubature: the "ORF Centre" on Vienna's Küniglberg developed into the "ORF Media Campus", which is now also home to the multimedia newsroom, the Content Management Centre and the radio stations Ö1 and Hitradio Ö3. With the consolidation of all media at the location in Vienna Hietzing, the ORF is transforming itself from a classic broadcaster to a public service platform - and is therefore creating the infrastructure for the public service media production of the future.
Flexible in every detail, yet always up-to-date and coordinated with each other. To ensure this, Lindner completed several projects at once, including raised and cavity floors with various coverings, plasterboard walls and ceilings, acoustic cladding, textile ceiling sails, metal ceilings, Heradesign ceilings, system partition walls and linoleum studio cladding.
All in all, the extension of the ORF Centre is a unique project: For the first time, Lindner realised a production innovation in the form of textile-covered ceiling sails. In addition, the system partitions in the ORFmedia campus impress with an impressive variety of surfaces, including glass, solid wall or textile. This varied look creates a modern and creative environment for the approximately 700 employees.
