The aim of the renovation of the Rheingoldhalle in Mainz was to modernise the building, which now boasts modern design, sustainability and technical innovations. The vacant areas of the former casino were also integrated into the building, increasing the event space to almost 10,000 m2.
Lindner's contribution to the conversion of the event venue on the banks of the Rhine included wall and ceiling cladding as well as doors. The congress hall is now fitted with flame-retardant acoustic wall cladding with integrated T30 RS doors and integrated folding sliding doors up to a height of 3.30 metres. From a height of 3.30 metres, non-combustible COMPlacq acoustic wall cladding was installed, which is also the visual highlight of the building. The wall cladding in gold and anthracite, made of wood and aluminium, refers to the name of the Rheingoldhalle with diamond-shaped reliefs and golden mosaics. The ten-storey retractable grandstand and the open ceiling area complete the conversion work.
