To expand existing capacities and counter the shortage of skilled workers, Siemens Healthineers built a new training and education centre in Erlangen. The open-plan building offers space for almost 300 trainees and students and enables the training of customers and the company`s own specialists. The modern teaching and research rooms serve as an innovative learning centre where new training content can be taught using state-of-the-art technology and new training methods such as virtual reality training. Built according to the latest construction standards, the building is to be awarded the “LEED Gold” sustainability certificate.
Lindner was able to contribute to the training centre with a comprehensive fit-out package: The portfolio included a wide range of trades and services to ensure a high-quality interior fit-out. In order to ensure maximum flexibility and concentration-enhancing acoustics in the classrooms, flexible raised and hollow floor systems as well as sound-insulating system partition walls were installed. In addition, various doors and drywall solutions were manufactured and installed. The subcontractor services should not be neglected either: From scaffolding and plastering work to tiling and screed laying through to demolition work, Lindner took on the planning and execution.
