The fit-out of the new office spaces for Veolia Umweltservice GmbH in the EDGE HafenCity building in Hamburg has resulted in a modern interior design that subtly yet effectively reflects the company’s values.
The concept is based on a minimalist environment with clean lines and exposed concrete walls, enhanced by carefully placed colour accents. A striking shade of orange serves as a unifying design element, creating an inspiring atmosphere.
Instead of traditional office structures, an open, light-filled workspace – so-called Work-Life Spaces – has been created across approximately 5,700 m² and three floors. With short distances and a well-thought-out workplace strategy for 220 workstations, the design promotes communication, interaction, and a high-quality working environment.
To implement this open and flexible workspace, the Lindner Group relied on the CAS Room-in-Room system, which impresses with its modularity and adaptability. In addition to the classic CAS Rooms, used as meeting rooms and phone booths, the innovative CAS Rooms Flow system was integrated. Its delicate framework with built-in LED strips creates an elegant spatial effect without compromising the open character of the environment. By incorporating curtains into the beams, flexible meeting zones and retreat areas have been created, ensuring acoustic separation. This achieves the perfect balance between communication and privacy.
Complementing this, various seating niches were developed from the CAS Rooms Flow system, offering an alternative use of office space. All Flow modules were customised in unique RAL special colours and matching textiles, subtly accentuating the overall restrained colour scheme.
