The Wankdorf City is an up-and-coming residential and business quarter in the outskirts of Bern. After its completion, over 5,000 workplaces will be located there, predominantly from the service industry. In order to meet the resulting demand for office spaces, several office buildings have already been established, one of them being the Twist Again. With its dynamic five-story facade, the building´s appearance blends right into the modern surroundings. The Twist Again was constructed by Losinger Marazzi AG in accordance with highest sustainability standards such as Minergie, DGNB and SGNI. Furthermore, the general contractor moved some of its offices into the building.
The office areas are characterized by open room layouts with numerous areas of retreat for individual work and meetings. The Swiss branch of Lindner AG was contracted with the fitting of heated and chilled metal ceilings, partition systems and room-in-room systems. Plafotherm® Heated and Chilled Metal Ceilings have been chosen in two varieties, one being largely used canopy ceilings and the other hook-on ceilings, each of which with rear-mounted heating and cooling technology, meeting the sustainable building concept. Spatial separation with unhindered transparency is created with Lindner Life Glass Partitions. Additionally, freestanding room-in-room systems of type Lindner Cube have been installed, which offer maximum flexibility for spatial rearrangements.
