At BAU 2025, the prestigious Innovation Award for Architektur+ Bauwesen was presented for the 16th time. This accolade, initiated by the architectural magazine AIT and AIT-Dialog in collaboration with Messe München, recognises outstanding products and conceptual solutions that excel in both design and technical performance. Key evaluation criteria include material selection and versatility in application.
Sustainable Innovation for Modern Architecture
Among this year’s award winners is the Lindner Life Stereo_GCC partition wall system. With its flush-glazed design and side-mounted glazing frames made from the sustainable wood-based material German Compact Composite (GCC), this system allows for particularly fast and easy installation. Equally simple to dismantle and reuse, it offers a clear advantage in terms of flexibility and resource efficiency.
A Material for the Future
With Lindner Life Stereo_GCC, the Lindner Group continues its commitment to sustainable building materials. The GCC material used in this system consists of 75 % natural fibres sourced from waste generated by the planing and sawmill industries. These fibres are refined into fine particles through a patented process and combined with recycled plastics, binders, and pigments. Under high pressure, this mixture forms a highly durable, long-lasting, and environmentally friendly material that meets the highest aesthetic and functional standards.
The award-winning partition wall system builds on the proven Life Stereo 125 model, enhancing its well-established benefits with a more sustainable material alternative.
