According to the motto "Experience the world of tomorrow today", visitors to the Deutsches Museum in Nürnberg's old town can expect an insightful look into the future. The exhibition, which opens in September 2021, covers 2,900 m² across five selected thematic areas, with the contrast between "science" and "fiction" running through all areas like a common thread.
For a coherent overall impression, the finishing products naturally also had to meet some requirements - future products with regard to function, architecture and sustainability were required. With the silver award-winning Cradle to Cradle Certified® access floor FLOOR and more®, Lindner has installed an exceptionally sustainable product. The staircase was constructed with FLOOR and more® arena and covered with LinCrete glass fibre concrete, thus visually matching the existing exposed concrete. The project-specific solution of Plafotherm® heated/cooling ceilings, whose large-format ceiling elements are also architecturally coordinated, additionally ensures suitable acoustics and air conditioning in the museum. To complete the picture and ensure an optimum climate control and acoustics, acoustic wall cladding was also installed.
