Inspection Doors

The Right Cover for Every Opening

Make installations in cavities magically disappear? Lindner inspection doors close inspection openings in walls and ceilings and blend almost invisibly into the surrounding wall surface. The appearance of the doors can be individually customised to suit the project. Whether seamlessly integrated into the shaft wall, with HPL surface, real wood veneer or RAL lacquered. The doors are made to measure and delivered – in all sizes and formats, with a maximum frame dimension of 2,109 mm width x 2,579 mm height; single or double-leaf. In addition, the inspection doors allow easy maintenance of installations in the cavity – without tools and with only one person. The doors also provide a fire-rated closure of the trunking, protecting against the ingress of smoke and fire for over 90 minutes.

  • on request they can also be used for fire-retardant requirements
  • HPL, veneer or lacquer finishes available
  • up to 2,109 mm wide x 2,579 mm high (frame dimensions) possible
  • paintable, with primed surface (standard)
  • available with one or two leaves – optional with symmetrical or asymmetrical door division
  • optional flush installation with frameless appearance

Access Doors in Dry Construction

Drywall construction often uses hollow spaces in ceilings and walls: These are difficult to access and are used to hide supply technology such as electricity and water pipes. However, as the installations require regular maintenance and quick access in the event of a fault, inspection openings come into play. Installed in solid walls, lightweight walls, lightweight shaft walls or cellular concrete walls, inspection doors allow easy and quick access to the cavity whenever you need it.

When Do We Talk about an Inspection Door or Inspection Hatch?

When individual installation shafts in ceiling or wall surfaces are closed off in dry construction, this is usually referred to as an inspection hatch or inspection door. The difference between an inspection hatch and an inspection door depends on the accessibility and size of the cavity and the inspection opening. If an inspection opening is large enough for people to pass through, it is called an inspection door. An inspection hatch, on the other hand, closes off smaller cavities in ceilings and walls.

The right Cladding for every Purpose

Lindner closes every inspection opening with the right cover – whether (almost) invisibly integrated into the installation environment or as a real eye-catcher inside the building. The design of the inspection doors can be customised to suit your requirements. The doors can be single or double-leaf and asymmetrical. In addition to visual customisation, the functional features of the inspection door can also be adapted to suit your needs: The fire-resistant design of the doors achieves fire resistance class I90 in accordance with DIN 4102-4.
