Urban Future
The role of Cradle to Cradle for the future will be discussed in three stages – in Freiburg, Mainz and Mönchengladbach – and under the guiding theme of "Urban Future". Different focal points will be addressed: On July 14 in Freiburg, the speakers will talk about the "Next Industrial Revolution – Scaling Innovation", the possibility of an actively positive influence of the economy on climate and environment and Cradle to Cradle being a possible innovation driver of this development. Pioneering products and business models as well as the topic of standardization and scaling will be addressed. Marcel Gröpler from the Integrated Management Service and Green Building division at the Lindner Group will be speaking, too: starting at 2 p.m., he will address the topic of "Product-as-a-Service" as part of an interactive forum.
Packaging Plastics and Example-setting Regions
On September 7 in Mainz and November 4 in Mönchengladbach, the topics "Plastics & Packaging for Tomorrow" and "Cities & Regions Driving Change" are on the agenda. In Mainz, forward-looking methods from industry and science for closed technical cycles and waste avoidance will be presented. The focus will be on plastics, their production and their numerous usage scenarios. In Mönchengladbach, the focus will be on socio-economic reforms, the development of SmartCities, and new strategies for remediation and procurement according to Cradle to Cradle. In addition, the interaction between research and industry for a groundbreaking location policy inspired by C2C will be highlighted.
