The Redmolen office building in Copenhagen has created an urban space with its unique atrium that embodies openness and dynamism. In addition to its spacious office areas, the circular building features a publicly accessible ground floor with a variety of shops, restaurants, cafés, exhibitions, and a canteen, complemented by impressive greenery in the atrium that gives the interior a vibrant and inviting atmosphere.
A distinctive feature of the Redmolen project is the Lindner RIBline wall and ceiling cladding, made from a combination of calcium sulphate and oak veneer, developed by Lindner IPC (International Projects Contracting). With a total of 58,000 linear metres of this cladding, Lindner has created an aesthetically pleasing yet functional solution for the building's public areas. The slats, made of real wood veneer, not only offer an elegant design but also feature a fire-resistant gypsum core certified to EN 13501. This property minimises smoke development and prevents droplet formation, facilitating potential building evacuation. The cladding core is made from FGD gypsum, produced from recycled paper and is 100% recyclable. Through the use of circular, reusable materials, Lindner demonstrates its commitment to environmental protection and resource conservation.
In addition to the RIBline wall and ceiling cladding, Lindner installed cooling ceilings over an area of 16,000 square metres at Redmolen. This ceiling system ensures a pleasant indoor climate in the office and rental spaces of the building, enhancing work quality and user comfort. Lindner's craftsmanship and technical expertise are evident in every detail of the project, significantly contributing to the overall impact and functionality of Redmolen.
