The Chalet plank, a multi-layer parquet glued from oak wood, is used in upmarket interior fittings due to its impressive dimensions and enables a stable structure with large plank widths. The symmetrical structure with wear layer and backing made of equivalent wood prevents cross warping in the event of briefly unfavourable climatic conditions. In addition, the plank with the all-round tongue and groove system is suitable for full bonding to standardised subfloors. Due to its higher bulk density, oak offers a lower thermal resistance compared to conventional softwood substructures, which is particularly desirable for use on heated screeds. With a wear layer thickness of 4 mm, the flooring is also characterised by its renovability, which is comparable to that of solid parquet.
