Building H6 is an office complex for 2,500 employees of Audi AG from the divisions marketing and sales. The heart of the building is the company restaurant which seats up to 1,500 guests. A destinctive feature of the restaurant is its ceiling with a height of 7.5 metres and a three-dimensional acoustic ceiling landscape that spans its dynamic form all over the area.
Lindner AG was contracted with the project management and installation of acoustic cylinders that make up the acoustic ceiling. Nearly 2,900 cylinders with sizes from 20 cm to 1.8 m length have been created in cooperation with pinta acoustic GmbH, which were then mounted to the substructure, a construction that was developed specifically for this project. This required sophisticated static planning. Another part of Lindner Group, Leuchtenfabrik GmbH, was contracted with the development and production of 500 cylinder luminaires in two varieties, which were also tailored to the project in regard of their form and brightness. One variety were opal cylinder lights that are luminous all around. The second was a cylinder that features an integrated downward-facing LED lighting insert. Adjacent to the cylinder areas, in the ancillary areas of the restaurant, another 1,000 integrated downlights were fitted with either clear or satinated glass lids. Through the entirety of these performances, Lindner qualified for further works as a part of the fit-out of the entrance area. These works included the fitting of chilled ceilings of type Plafotherm® GK HEKDA, which ensure cozy temperature over both levels of the foyer, where a small amount of cylinders and luminaires have also been fitted.
