Biotest AG, a manufacturer of pharmaceuticals based on human blood plasma, is traditionally based in Dreieich near Frankfurt am Main. In the course of their construction project "Biotest Next Level", a complex of three buildings was developed. These facilities are used for a large extension of the company´s production capacities. A workforce of about 300 are is engaged there.
Lindner Reinraumtechnik contributed to the development through the fit-out of three processing floors in Building 02. Each floor is set up with an area of 3,000 sqm and a room height of 7.50 m. The ports, internal hallways and the biotechnological processing areas are built in compliance with the GMP C or D standard, respectively, depending on the specific requirements. The scope of works of Lindner Reinraumtechnik is roughly devided into ceiling and partition systems. Steel post-cap ceilings of type Line 80 S were installed on a large scale. This system facilitates maintenance works at the ventilation units in the ceiling void. Furthermore, a hook-on and lay-in system allows dismantling and assembly of the ceiling at any time. The fitting of ventilation or luminaires is also supported. In order to provide drop protection for the walkable ceiling, a bannister construction was developed for this project. A custom solution was also developed in regard of partition systems. Instead of a partition width of 100 mm, a new variety with 80 mm came into existance that still was in compliance with the elevated requirements of clean rooms. Apart from this system, glass partitions and wall linings have been fitted. The partitions feature integrated smoke protection or T30 fire protection doors, respectively. Lindner was also awarded the contract for the validation of the clean room.
