China, Russia, Japan, the USA, Germany – the company Bosch established an international network
of research centres in its corporate history, which goes back more than 130 years. With the thought of
improving the network between those centres, the company decided to establish a central research location. In Renningen, Baden-Wuerttemberg, Bosch has obtained a 32-hectare area on a former drill ground of the German Air Force. Using an investment volume of more than € 300 million, 14 buildings have been built in a three-year construction period so far. Currently, there are 9 laboratory and factory buildings as well as one clean room building on the innovation campus. The administration of the site is placed in a distinctive, 60 metres high office building, which also forms the centrepiece of the complex.
As a part of the centre´s construction, Lindner was contracted with an extensive interior fit-out package, which included performances in the administration building and all research buildings. The wide variety of demands that came with the project could be met by a cooperation of multiple specialist departments within Lindner Group. The performances, which were delivered under the leadership of Lindner Reinraumtechnik GmbH, included: dry construction works, ceiling systems, partition systems, floor systems and doors. Numerous custom-made solutions, such as 7-metres high laboratory walls, have been implemented to meet the sophisticated specifications.
