To bring together the editorial teams from radio, television and online sectors, and to simplify internal communication, Bayerischer Rundfunk consolidated its efforts at the Munich-Freimann site. The restructuring included the construction of a “tri-medial news centre” and a multimedia building, which are interconnected by the "Media Street." Alongside editorial offices, the buildings feature professional production and studio spaces. With a building depth of nearly 16 meters, the design allows for a flexible layout accommodating various room types and sizes, meeting the specific needs of editorial, production, and administrative areas.
Lindner SE provided specialised services for the new construction, notably the predominantly decoupled drywall partitions paired with special studio doors to meet rigorous acoustic and soundproofing requirements. Additionally, fabric-covered wall claddings were installed in the recording studios, enhancing room acoustics while presenting an aesthetically pleasing solution. These products offer an ideal blend of functionality and design that aligns with the high standards of Bayerische Rundfunk.
