Entrepreneur Reinhold Würth honored his wife Carmen with a very special gift:
Just in time for her 80th birthday on 18 July 2017, the Carmen Würth Forum, which is dedicated to her, was inaugurated. This congress and cultural center, which is located in Künzelsau opposite the headquarters of the company Würth, contains two halls and a large foyer. The outdoor area can be used for outdoor events for up to 10,000 people and it impresses with its sculpture garden. At the Great Hall, which offers capacity for more than 2,000 people, it was decided not to use a fixed stage to enable flexible seating and to keep the hall playable in all directions. The "Reinhold Würth Chamber Music Hall", which is up to ten meters deep underground, holds around 600 seats.
While the Chamber Music Hall is a real eye-catcher at first glance, it also fascinates by its outstanding acoustics, which allows concerts without additional electronic amplification. Decisive for this are the wall and ceiling linings of the type FIREwood with European walnut surface produced and installed by Lindner AG, which were arranged in cooperation with the acoustics expert of Planegger Bauberatungsgesellschaft Müller-BBM. Following this design, the balustrades were also clad in the same way. Wooden doors and a gate complete the scope of the Lindner AG in the chamber music hall. In the main hall, Lindner-made benches made of bent ash plywood provide comfortable seating. The expanded metal ceilings installed in the foyer provide a structured contrast to the smooth floor in the company color red.
