Climeworks Plant "Mammoth"

The "Mammoth" Direct Air Capture (DAC) facility, operated by the Swiss company Climeworks in Hellisheiði (Iceland), is considered the largest of its kind worldwide. Equipped with state-of-the-art technology, the facility has the potential to filter up to 36,000 tonnes of CO2 directly from the air each year. The captured CO2 can then be stored deep underground, reused, or converted into solid products. With around 500 employees at the Mammoth facility, Climeworks has set itself the goal of combating climate change and reducing CO2 in the atmosphere.

Lindner was commissioned to supply and install an individually designed wooden ceiling made of curved wooden panels in one of the visitor rooms. These panels are arranged in different lengths and shapes, creating a dynamic, wave-like effect. 
Round pendant lights positioned between the panels add atmospheric accents, bathing the room in a warm, inviting glow. The natural wood tones of the ceiling elements harmonise elegantly with the dark background of the ceiling above. This distinctive ceiling design conveys a sense of openness and blends seamlessly with the innovative character of the overall project.
