Hammerbrooklyn.DigitalCampus is one of the main future projects of the Hanseatic City with the DigitalPavilion being the core. It was planned to be an US-Pavilion at the Expo 2015 in Mailand, and today at the heart of Hamburg’s digital innovation district, Factory Hammerbrooklyn is a home for interdisciplinary collaboration between the city’s creative, academic, tech and industrial communities. The Pavilion has been expanded to the size of 7,500 m² and offers not only areas for exploring, events and gastronomy but also meeting and works spaces. Furthermore, the campus focuses on important issues such as digital transformation and sustainability.
The interior fit-out focused on recycled materials and energy efficiency, e.g. the exploring space’s steel construction seeming to be pending – it is a 23 meter long meeting room between level 2 and 3. Glass walls and working spaces were fitted out with the Cradle to Cradle® certified Lindner Life 125 Stereo full-faced partition systems. Lindner was responsible for dry construction works and also delivered energy efficient Canopy Ceilings as well as mobile separating partitions.
