The High Tech Campus Villach, a technology centre directly adjacent to the tpv Villach Technology Park and the Carinthian University of Applied Sciences, provides start-ups as well as established technology companies with the perfect framework for research and development in the fields of electronics, microelectronics, mechatronics, sensor technology as well as renewable energies, climate protection and recycling management. The campus complex with a total of 16,000 m² was designed by Bramberger architects together with the project developer TRC bauConsulting. Over the next few years, the campus will be further developed and will provide space for hundreds of workplaces. Two buildings have already been occupied.
For the flexible rental spaces, modular, dismountable fit-out systems were chosen as far as possible, which also meet the high sustainability standards of the HTC. Thus, in addition to heating/cooling coils, there are above all various floor systems from Lindner. In order to implement the topic of climate protection and circular economy directly in the building, the idea came up to use used panels for the raised floor. These were removed from an existing building, refurbished at the Lindner factory in Arnstorf and finally reinstalled in the HTC Villach. The reconditioned raised floor LOOP prime convinces with identical technical and structural-physical properties as new NORTEC panels, including all-round edge protection. In addition, LOOP prime has a 75% better CO2 balance and was awarded Cradle to Cradle Certified® Gold.
