The hospital in Dornbirn invested around 22.5 million euros in the expansion of its operating center. The existing six operating rooms were joined by seven new rooms ranging in size from 44 to 52 m². To ensure the highest possible flexibility, the new ORs were set up with an equally high standard of construction.
Lindner Reinraumtechnik has contributed to the fit-out of the seven new operating theaters with wall systems and sliding doors. The walls are built in shell construction, which allows them to accommodate various parts of the building technology and makes it usable for the staff by means of appropriate installations. Examples include the ventilation ducts and their outlets in the room as well as the media channels with integrated workstations. At selected locations, large windows with radiation protection requirements and internal darkening were incorporated into the walls. The clean room sliding doors were also designed in accordance with the required radiation protection, including a flush-mounted lead glazing that was implemented constructively. The doors also support hospital processes via automatic operation and the integration of controls for various functions.
