Ever since its completion in 1981, the HVB-Tower has been one of the most succint buildings in the cityscape of Munich. Its first modernisation was carried out in the early 90´s, which already saw participation of Lindner Group. From 2013 to 2015, the Tower with its southern extension and entrance area was renovated once more, turning it into a highly modern and energy-efficient "Green Building" (certified LEED Platinum) for about 3,000 HVB employees. This project included the redevelopment of the heritage-protected facade, the building services, and the fire protection concept as well as the implementation of a modern office. In the course of this renovation, Lindner was able to prove once more its competence in General Contracting.
First off came extensive gutting and the disposal and division of construction materials in accordance with environmental protection laws. Lindner Isoliertechnik GmbH was contracted with insulation works in the technical centres and along pipeworks, as well as the construction of fire protection bulkheads. The interior fit-out also saw large-scale participation of Lindner, including the fitting of numerous products from the divisions Floorings, Partitions, Doors and Heating and Cooling Technology. The same applies to the plinth building in the south and the entrance structure. The elevator lobbies on all floors have been fitted with wall claddings. Lindner Objektdesign produced numerous custom pieces of furniture made of the material Corian and delivered further fixed and custo furniture for the standard floors of the Tower (E 5 - 18)
