Klinikum Erding

The Klinikum Landkreis Erding is a publicly managed hospital, which operates across two locations, in Erding and Dorfen. With a total of 330 inpatient beds and 12 outpatient places, the hospital provides comprehensive basic and standard care, as well as specialised departments for radiology and nuclear medicine, highly specialised facilities, and a regional trauma centre.

In recent years, extensive modernisations and expansions have been carried out to meet the growing demands for technology, security of supply, and sustainability.

As part of the refurbishment of the Erding site, the Leuchtenfabrik supplied and installed 500 LED retrofit kits to replace the now-banned fluorescent tubes with an energy-efficient solution. The unique aspect of this project: The existing metal and fire protection ceilings were to be fully preserved.

For this purpose, Lindner developed a custom solution that also allowed for the reuse of the existing light fittings, covers, and grids. This not only contributed to resource conservation but also significantly reduced the installation effort. Thanks to these thoughtful retrofit kits, the hospital was equipped with a future-proof and energy-efficient lighting system without disrupting ongoing operations.
