The family-owned metal construction company Meile Metallbau AG has been rooted in the Swiss town of Altstätten for over 70 years. Following sustainable growth, the capacities of the existing administration buildings reached their limits over time. As a result, an extension became necessary, which was solved with a representative new construction that houses offices, lounge areas and cloakrooms for the employees.
The architecture of the building shows clear influences of the "metal" theme, which is expressed with minimalistic design and an interplay of exposed concrete and metal elements. As a part of this framework, the Swiss subsidiary of Lindner AG in Effretikon was contracted with the fitting of hook-on ceiling systems with heating and cooling technology. Executed with black powder coating, these systems blend in perfectly into the room appearance of the building. Furthermore, their integrated heating and cooling technology allows for efficient and individually adjustable control of room temperature.
