ÖAMTC Mobility Centre

In the beginning of December 2016, the Austrian motor club ÖAMTC commissioned its new mobility center in the Baumgasse in Vienna's 3rd district. The members have access to a state-of-the-art technical base and a large service area with all club services. For around 800 employees, a modern work environment was created. The building is also the new home of the Christophorus 9 air rescue base.

The Lindner GmbH from Baden near Vienna formed a working group with Käfer Isoliertechnik GmbH for the execution of an extensive interior construction package for this project. The services of the consortium included drywall systems in the form of plasterboard ceilings and walls; Acoustic wall coverings of perforated and smooth corrugated metal; Acoustic plaster on parapet walls; Acoustic baffle ceilings and acoustic corrugated sheet ceilings; Lindner raised floors of the types NORTEC and LIGNA; Steel tubes for substructures and fire protection panels as a special construction. This large spectrum of materials such as perforated corrugated sheets, acoustic dry construction, raised floors and acoustic plaster and baffles fit into an allencompassing spatial concept with a highly sound-absorbing effect and thus create a low-noise work environment. From the workshops, the conference and training rooms to the offices and the connecting atrium, the individual acoustic elements create a harmonious and compatible context. The consortium not only fulfilled the functional requirements, but also turned the visual wishes of the architects and clients into an individual room design.
