Centered around " Nordbayern vernetzt sich", another meeting of the "FfE Energy Efficiency and Climate Protection Network" took place recently, hosted by Lindner NORIT. As part of the exchange of experiences, 20 companies from the region discussed the effective use of waste heat and the use of heat pumps to increase energy efficiency.

Joining Forces for Greater Energy Efficiency

The event focused on waste heat from production processes and how companies can use it to improve their energy balance and make a sustainable contribution to climate protection. Dr Winfried Aschern, Managing Director of Lindner NORIT, emphasised that "[...] the use of waste heat and heat pumps are decisive steps on the way to a more sustainable future". Possible potentials and the integration of heat pumps into operational processes were therefore discussed in technical presentations and workshops. A subsequent tour of the company's premises in Dettelbach also highlighted Lindner's energy-related measures to date. Further examples of best practice and the presentation of case studies rounded off the workshop day, before an internal goal-setting workshop between Lindner and FfE took place the next day: Here, joint goals for the next few years in the area of energy optimisation were developed.

Lindner NORIT –a Regional Role Model

It was a special honour for Lindner NORIT to provide the Dettelbach site as the venue for the energy network meeting. After all, sustainable construction and energy efficiency are integral parts of the company's vision: "We are delighted to be able to host this important network meeting and, together with other companies, to find ways of using energy more efficiently," says Dr. Winfried Aschern (Managing Director). Local politicians such as Matthias Bielek (Mayor of Dettelbach), Tamara Bischof (District Administrator of Kitzingen) and Oliver Freitag (Head of Innovation and Climate at the Würzburg-Schweinfurt Chamber of Industry and Commerce) were also present, underlining the companies' strong commitment to the region. The FfE offers companies the opportunity to exchange knowledge, learn from each other and jointly implement measures to increase energy efficiency.
