According to forecasts, the number of students in Leipzig will increase by 50% by the year 2030. In addition to infrastructural measures such as the construction of schools, care must be taken to ensure that there are sufficiently qualified teaching staff will be available. An important contribution is made by the Faculty of Education of the University of Leipzig. In order to provide a suitable infrastructure for this faculty, the Bildungswissenschaftliche Zentrum (BWZ; Centre for Education Science) at the Jahnallee campus of the University of Leipzig was created using an investment volume of approximately 25 million euros. This center offers sufficient space for a library, a 350-seat auditorium, seminar and office space, various institutes and a research kindergarten.
In the course of this construction project, Lindner AG was commissioned to create an auditorium construction based on the floor system FLOOR and more® arena.
