Waste Incineration Plant Dunbar

The waste-incineration power plant was built on a new site a few kilometers southeast of Dunbar in Scotland to replace the existing landfill site nearby. The waste-to-energy plant comprises two lines with a common building, a waste bunker and a turbine. Each boiler can burn 20 tons of waste per hour, producing 30 MW of electricity, enough to power 39,000 homes.
Boilers, ducts and pipelines were insulated with an insulation surface of 27,437 m². Insulation mats and insulation shells made of mineral wool were mainly used. The average number of insulators was 27, at peak times 57.
