How do I Install Underfloor Heating?

Do you want to install your underfloor heating yourself? Here is a quick guide on the main steps on how to install underfloor heating: 

• Preparing the first element: Saw off the protruding tongues of the first panel and the first row.
• First row of panels: Start laying in the left corner of the room and do not press the edge insulation strip together. Cut the last board in the row to the correct length and insert it.
• Start a new row: Start with the remaining board in the trailing joint. Then insert the tongue into the groove of the board that has already been laid. Lay the board down and close the tongue and groove joint at the front with a laying block. The surface must be free of dust and dirt to prepare for the following steps.
• Apply primer: The reddish primer is applied evenly with a pressure sprayer. To ensure that the sides of the cut-outs are completely primed, it is recommended to spray crosswise from several directions.
• Laying the pipe: The heating pipe is laid as specified by the installer. Ensure that the pipe fits snugly into the guide; it must not be twisted or bent. 
• Grout the surface: Before grouting, check that the heating pipe is correctly positioned in the guide. The use of a notched trowel is recommended to maintain the minimum 3mm overlap above the elements. 
• Prepare the floor covering: The floor covering can now be laid.
