One will search in vain for a cold hospital atmosphere in the municipal health centre Helsingør Sundhedshus. Instead, an inviting ambience has been created here with, among other features, 2,500 m² of Lindner RIBline lamella wall and ceiling cladding, which sustainably promote the wellbeing of patients.
Key Role in Improving Healthcare
Nordsjællands Hospital – Sundhedshuset is setting new standards in patient care in Denmark as part of a comprehensive modernisation of the healthcare system in Helsingør. With the aim of improving access to medical services in the region, the hospital now offers a wide range of outpatient health services, state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment and advanced technologies: general medicine, specialist clinics, preventive health programmes as well as rehabilitation and therapeutic services. The facility also includes consulting and treatment rooms, nursing rooms, 24-hour care places, offices, two terraces and various meeting rooms spread over four floors.
Modern and Functional: A Patient-Centred Design
Bright and welcoming waiting areas, intuitive building navigation, and comfortable treatment rooms characterise the unique appearance of the Sundhedshuset. Special emphasis was placed on creating a pleasant atmosphere for both patients and medical personnel in the architectural design. Generous windows flood the spaces with natural light, sustainable building materials promote a healthy indoor climate, and give the building a modern look. Complementing this, around 2,400 m² of Lindner RIBline wall and ceiling cladding blends seamlessly into the health centre, imparting a warm character with its wood-like appearance. The clear lines and precise craftsmanship of the slats additionally provide an elegant and harmonious aesthetic.
Fire-Resistant RIBline Wooden Slats
The Sundhedshuset in Helsingoer has been designed and built to the highest standards of sustainability. A central aspect of the building concept is the use of renewable energy, energy-efficient systems and sustainable materials to minimise energy consumption and reduce the ecological footprint of the building. The RIBline cladding not only adds a touch of nature to the building, but also makes a positive contribution to the environment with its wood veneer and FSC-certified recycled plaster components. In addition, the fire-resistant gypsum core ensures safety with a Bs1, d0 fire rating and sets new standards for environmentally friendly building materials.
