With the further development of the metal fire protection ceiling F30 Drop-Slide, the Lindner Group is taking a further step towards the project-oriented optimisation of its own products and technologies: The type 10.1 ceiling system has been adapted to meet current customer requirements and offers a number of additional benefits.

New Solution for Changed Requirements

The design and technical requirements for F30 metal fire protection ceilings in corridors, hospitals and assembly halls are enormous: The metal ceiling systems must be as easy as possible to install and at the same time be able to be modified without tools. The larger the ceiling panels required and the fewer suspension points required, the more difficult it is to successfully fire test such designs. This is how it usually works in practice: Many systems are limited in length or width and require a large number of suspension points in the ceiling cavity. This can lead to collisions with the TGA. With the further development of the F30 suspended ceiling system, Lindner has addressed these issues and offers a solution to the previous problems.

What's New: Lindner F30 Metal Fire Protection Ceiling Type 10.1

The basic structure of the ceiling system remains unchanged: The intelligent design of the F30 fire protection ceiling, combined with innovative, tool-free revision options, enables space-saving planning and easy access to the ceiling cavity. As part of the development, Lindner has increased the system's ceiling panel from 65 mm to 67.5 mm. As a result of the higher ceiling panel, the GKF strip has become slightly lower – with the same construction heights for the connections. This results in a new maximum dimension for the F30-AB Type 10.1: Thanks to the 3,000 x 500 mm ceiling panels, corridor widths of, for example, 5,500 mm can now be achieved with two plasterboard friezes, each 1,250 mm wide, and the maximum ceiling tile length. This design requires only two rows of threaded rods in the ceiling cavity. In addition, the threaded rod spacing for plasterboard friezes and central suspensions has been increased to 1,250 mm.

Easy Inspection Thanks to Lowering and Sliding Function

The metal fire protection suspended ceiling is easy to inspect: The free-spanning ceiling panels can be lowered individually and slid horizontally under the other ceiling panels in the longitudinal direction of the corridor. This creates inspection openings of up to 3,000 x 2,000 mm and no additional ceiling cavity is required. The ceiling systems can be opened by one person without tools. Even when open, there are no suspended ceiling elements to interfere with building operations.

Further Benefits of the Ceiling

The ceiling system is easy to clean due to its smooth surface and can be perforated for acoustic requirements. In addition, the F30 Senk-Schiebe metal ceiling offers very good possibilities for tolerance compensation on the corridor partition wall due to adjustable wall connections. The free span construction meets all the requirements of an F30 fire protection ceiling and can withstand a fire for at least 30 minutes. The fire-rated ceiling also allows easy and quick access to the ceiling void, providing additional flexibility in the design of the TGA.

The most Important Innovations of the F30 Drop-Slide Fire Protection Ceiling Type 10.1 at a Glance:

  • The ceiling panels allow new maximum dimensions of 3,000 x 500 mm.
  • Free-span plasterboard friezes up to a width of 1,250 mm.
  • The threaded rod spacing for frieze/centre suspensions has been increased to 1,250 mm.
