On 19 and 20 June 2024, the Lindner Group will be exhibiting for the first time at Building Green in Hamburg. Product highlights include the LOOP raised access floor panels as well as gypsum fibre and drywall products from Lindner GFT.

Act now! This is the motto of Building Green in June 2024 at the Fischauktionshalle in Hamburg. With over 80 exhibitors and a wide range of topics relating to sustainable building, Building Green, which originated in Denmark in 2011 and has only taken place in Germany since 2021, has quickly established itself.

Building Green sees itself not only as a platform for sustainable products and solutions, but also aims to bring together all players in the construction industry. At the same time, the trade fair also serves as a forum to discuss and address the transformation of the construction industry towards more climate and resource protection, more sustainability and fairness in the fields of architecture, urban planning and construction.

In addition to the classic exhibition areas in the historic fish auction hall, Building Green offers a diverse programme of events, such as panel discussions and lectures that explore the question: "What symbioses are possible between modern architecture and ecological awareness in the construction sector?" As a producer and service provider for complex construction projects, Lindner has been invited to the Specialist Talk on the Green Sessions stage on 20 June.

Lindner will be presenting different ways of circular construction at booth 77.

At the booth of the Lindner Group, a full-service provider for interior fit-out, building technology, insulation technology and facades, the focus will be on the recycled raised floor panels LOOP prime and LOOP aurum as well as NORIT gypsum fibre products. These are composed of more than 99 % recycled material (FGD gypsum mixed with cellulose fibres and water), are virtually free of emissions such as VOCs or formaldehyde and are harmless to building biology. Lindner also presents various solutions and practical examples for the reuse and recycling of gypsum fibre products for ceilings, walls and floors.

Circular Construction: Already lived practice at Lindner

Lindner demonstrates how circular construction works in practice by recycling used calcium sulphate floor panels into the LOOP prime flooring system. By reusing and reprocessing used boards in conjunction with a take-back agreement, over 70 % of CO2 and over 90 % of water are saved compared to new production. The quality in terms of statics, walking comfort, load-bearing capacity and flexibility of use remains the same.

The Lindner Group is also working on an efficient, resource-saving solution for the recycling of building materials containing gypsum. From the end of 2024, Lindner will not only take back complete plasterboard and gypsum fibreboards but also residual materials from production processes, as well as cut-offs and dismantling waste. These will then be utilised as raw materials for new Lindner products in a patented process at the Lindner plant in Dettelbach, Franconia. The aim is to return over 50,000 tonnes of gypsum to the production cycle every year from 2025, resulting in an annual greenhouse gas reduction of 5,270 tonnes of CO2 in the entire production process.
