With the opening of the Schlossparkhotel Mariakirchen in 2007, the Lindner Group added a hotel business to its construction business. Over the years, more and more hotels followed and the name "mk | hotels" was born. Today, the hotel group comprises 13 hotels in attractive locations all over Europe: among them Munich, Frankfurt, Berlin, London and now also Tirana. What they all have in common is a central location and excellent service as well as high-quality rooms. This makes the mk | hotels not only a popular place to stay for private and business travellers, but for many almost a second home.
Well-being in the Western Balkans
The newest mk | hotel was completed and opened in Tirana in 2021. Since then, the five-star hotel has welcomed numerous guests in its 80 rooms – which have been equipped with comfortable beds, modern bathrooms, air conditioning, high-speed WLAN, flat-screen TV and a lot of attention to details. Away from the hotel rooms, a diverse range of leisure and recreational activities awaits guests: Whether sweating in the gym, relaxing in the wellness area, sightseeing in Tirana, dining in the hotel's own steakhouse or cooling off in the 25-metre outdoor pool – the city hotel promises a more than pleasant stay. For private and business events, the conference room offers enough space for up to 400 people.
Golden Highlights
Apart from the generous hotel facilities, the mk | hotel Tirana is also impressive from an architectural point of view: As a subsidiary of the Lindner Group, the certain "Lindner touch" was of course not to be missed, and so various Lindner ceiling systems found their way into the building complex. Several metal ceilings, designed as lamella ceilings, expanded metal ceilings and ceiling sails, direct the guests' gaze upwards. A customised ceiling was made to meet the special requirements of the hotel. In addition, some ceilings were provided with the golden TOUCHdesign Lunar surface and now gleam with the radiant Albanian sun – the ceiling surfaces not only reflect the colourful hotel hustle and bustle, but also a special play of light can be observed.
