The construction industry is currently developing in many respects – and the range of courses on offer must also adapt to this: Therefore, in close cooperation with the Deggendorf University of Applied Sciences (THD), a completely new degree programme on Building Products and Processes has been created. The bachelor's programme at the European Campus Rottal-Inn in Pfarrkirchen teaches the basics of Building Products and Processes with a focus on digitalisation and sustainability in seven semesters of online and face-to-face courses.

Looking to a Green Future

With its Building Products and Processes degree programme, Deggendorf University of Applied Sciences addresses the megatrends of today's age – digitalisation and climate change. In doing so, the degree programme is geared towards internationality and globalisation, especially with the two focal points of product development and project management. The hybrid concept of engineering and management as well as the bilingual lectures provide an offer that is unique for the German study landscape: Students are taught how resource-saving and recyclable building products are developed, marketed and handled digitally with corresponding programmes and models in medium and large-scale building construction projects: The result is an efficient networking of all parties involved - from the planning to the implementation of the project. Numerous local companies also provide a valuable building block for studying at the THD – with laboratory internships and positions for practical semesters and final theses.

The Path to your Studies

To be eligible to apply for the Bachelor of Engineering (B. Eng.) programme, which starts in the winter semester 22/23, interested students need a university entrance qualification from Germany: This can be, among other things, the (Fach-)Abitur or industry-specific work experience. In addition, a B2 level in German and English is required. A general technical understanding is also advantageous for students. With these prerequisites, nothing stands in the way of the development of architecturally mature, recyclable and healthy products: The basics of building structures, building envelope, interior design and finishing trades taught in the lectures serve as the basis for this.

Laying the Foundation for your Career

A completed Bachelor's degree in Building Products and Processes opens up numerous opportunities for graduates – from further Master's studies in Healthy and Sustainable Buildings or Civil and Environmental Engineering to direct career entry. Thanks to a high level of language competence and a confident handling of standards, regulators as well as building specifications and documents, outstanding career opportunities are offered in all branches of the national and international construction industry - and thus also at Lindner. Apply now until 15.07.2022 for a place on the Primuss portal at www.th-deg.de/bewerbung!
