An Office of the Future
Modern working environments, an optimal working climate as well as numerous benefits for employees – the new headquarters of Trivago is convincing in many respects: In addition to spacious office landscapes for an open exchange in everyday working life and individual meeting rooms, the kidney-shaped building also offers a green outdoor area as well as a 400-metre-long running track on the roof for more than 2,000 employees of the hotel search portal. The building's design reflects the company's values and principles: Horizontal lines show the company's flat hierarchies, the minimalist spatial concept reminds employees to focus on the important things.
Special Solutions for Interior Fit-out
The organically shaped floor plan of the Trivago headquarters required many extras and special solutions for the interior fittings: in addition to the manufacture and installation of high-quality wooden doors and drywall work, Lindner was therefore also commissioned to carry out various metal ceiling systems. Around 21,500 m2 of Lindner metal ceilings with and without integrated heating and cooling functions stand out, among other things, due to their adaptability to individual building geometries: Here, every ceiling panel resembles a unique specimen! Thanks to perforation and heated/chilled technology on the back, the customised ceiling elements not only provide an upscale look, but also serve functional aspects such as improved acoustics and pleasant indoor climate.
Sustainable Building in the Media Harbour
In line with the desired LEED Gold certification, the Plafotherm® heated/chilled ceilings meet the highest standards in terms of architectural, building physics and environmental criteria. The metal ceiling system is made of materials with virtually no emissions of e.g. VOC and formaldehyde. Thanks to the radiation principle, the heated/chilled ceilings provide a comfortable and energy-efficient temperature control in the interior.
An All-round Carefree Package for Office Space
Today, the Trivago headquarters is complemented by an architecturally adapted tower from Immofinanz: The 16-storey office tower now forms the new home of the international office brand myhive. Consultancy for the second construction phase already started during the construction phase of the base building – at the end of 2019, Lindner was then awarded the contract for 15,000 m2 of ceiling solutions. Now, the Plafotherm® B heated/chilled post cap ceilings and Plafotherm® E heated/chilled hook-on ceilings and several other unique ceilings ensure a comfortable indoor climate inside the building. What is special about the project is that myhive does not even use some of its new workspaces itself: Instead, the office brand has a flexible concept for the individual rental of office space. By the end of 2022, about 90 % of the office space – from individual desks to complete office units and individual offices – will be rented out. For the tenants, this is an all-round carefree package: From infrastructure to cleaning to flower watering, everything is taken care of by the landlord.
